AC Milan to Release Fan Token

AC Milan is advancing not only on the field but also on the blockchain as the soccer giant is planning to release a $ACM fan token using the social platform Socios.com. Owners of the ACM will have the ability to vote in important decisions for the club and enjoy benefits.

AC Milan Moves On-Chain

One of the most popular soccer clubs in the world, AC Milan has started a partnership with a tokenized sports exchange called Chiliz in order to launch a fan token.

The token will be available on the website Socios.com, a social platform owned by Chiliz. CEO and founder of Chiliz and Socios.com, Alexandre Dreyfus, commented:

“The AC Milan partnership is a great start to a year in which we will work harder than ever on our mission to fully establish fan tokens as the ultimate fan engagement tool and as a powerful new revenue generator for the sports industry.”

Of course, the news was confirmed by AC Milan as well, on their Twitter account.

As an ACM owner, you can participate in discussions that play a role in the club’s future via polling. You can also benefit from various promotions, unique experiences, and, naturally, VIP rewards.

The fan token idea is a fledgling one that relies on blockchain power so that companies can interact with the audience.

Popular singers, such as Lil Yachty, have also started to dabble in this technology recently. Furthermore, Chiliz has already released tokens for other important football clubs, namely AS Roma, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.

The move can be labeled a success since the app was downloaded over 450,000 times, and 14 million tokens have already been sold. Binance has also listed some of the Chiliz tokens for trading.

With a fanbase of around 450 million supporters, the numbers are expected to go even higher.

The AC Milan token’s exact launch date is not known to the public yet, but it was announced that it should come somewhere in the next couple of weeks.
