API3, a provider of dAPIs, has confirmed its integration with Moonbeam, a project that simplifies the process for Ethereum applications with the goal of expanding to the Polkadot blockchain ecosystem, thus making APIs become available to multi-chain applications without any efforts.
The Moonbeam platform provides a full implementation of Ethereum on Substrate and lets Ethereum developers to deploy establish smart contracts in existence and dApp frontends to Moonbeam with very few changes. Moonbeam has two advantages in this case: its lower gas costs than Ethereum, and it benefits from the cross-chain functionality of Polkadot.
API3 plans to let developers create dApps that have a similar function to Web 2.0 apps.
Heikki Vänttinen, Co-Founder of API3, declared: “The future is multi-chain and Moonbeam is a great way for EVM dApps to get there. We’re thrilled to bring the API3 ecosystem to apps running on Moonbeam.”
This project also offers the chance of deploying dAPIs to Moonbeam, which would create dApps with truly quantifiably secured, DAO-aggregated data.
