Crypto doesn’t need anything else except monitoring, even as more big investors are getting involved with it, declared the Bank of England (BoE).
This was mentioned in its newest Financial Stability Report (FSR) where it was highlighted that crypto assets tend to be held by retail investors while institutional investors actually have a rather small exposure – at least, for now.
The report mentions that there is “growing interest in crypto assets and related services from institutional investors, banks, and key payment system operators.”
Also in the report were mentioned important moments for crypto over the previous year, which includes Bitcoin’s 6-fold increase of April 2021 but also its selloff of May. This proves that volatility continues to be an issue for the industry.
