After a period of rumors, Yuga Labs has revealed it purchased items from the CryptoPunks and Meebits collections from Larva Labs.
Yuga Labs is the creator of the BAYC NFT collection.
Yuga Labs confirmed it will offer CryptoPunks and Meebits owners intellectual property rights to their NFTs just like how the owners of the BAYC NFTs have commercial rights to their items.
“It’s been amazing to watch the BAYC ecosystem use their rights to collaborate and build awesome shit we never could have dreamed up. We can’t wait to see the Cryptopunks and Meebits communities do the same.”
Matt Hall and John Watkinson, the co-founders of Larva Labs, declared:
