BitLux Reports That Over 50% of Charter Flights Have Been Booked Using Cryptocurrencies During 2021

Since crypto is being used more often for transactions, it is not surprising to learn that crypto payments have also been increasing in the travel marketplace.

BitLux, one of the first private jet charter services to accept crypto payments, has reported that 52% of all the booked private jet flights during 2021, regardless if they are international or domestic, were paid in crypto. BitLux accepts Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin.

Since the company works all around the globe, it shouldn’t be a surprise that 78% of all international flights that have been booked via BitLux were paid in cryptocurrencies.

The CEO of BitLux is Kyle Patel. The company is accepting crypto payments since 2018 and foresees a growing trend as a result of its clients’ desire for security and speed when they are booking a private jet.

“We’re looking forward to a bright 2021 in the crypto sphere and aviation”, Patel said. “The excitement we have about a crypto-centric philosophy grows more widespread where people can take pride in the complete ownership and control of their own finances without intermediary interruption is in the clouds. We can see a shift in financial awareness where people take pride in the complete ownership and control of their own finances without intermediary interruption; a very cool thing to see.”
