BTC Miners Broke Monthly Revenue Record in February, Generating $1.36 Billion

The Bitcoin miner monthly revenue increased by 21% from January, reaching $1.36 billion in February.

This new revenue record does not come as a surprise, though, given the Bitcoin price evolution in February. The cryptocurrency price went from $33,000 to a new ATH of over $58,000. Last week, it dropped to $43,000, though, and it’s currently trading at $49,072.

The previous record was set in December 2017, when Bitcoin miners generated a monthly revenue of $1.25 billion. According to Coindesk, in February this year, the BTC miner revenue went from $0.23 and $0.38, dropping to $0.30 at the end of the month.

13.7% ($186 million) of the total BTC mining revenue in February came from network fees, a notable increase, considering that only 10.3% of total revenue was generated by fees in January. The fee revenue thus reached the highest level in the last three years, which is in line with the ascending trend we have seen since last April.
