Solana has announced that it has integrated Chainlink to offer crypto price feeds, thus providing developers with access to reliable price data.
Chainlink ensures price feeds for over 75 asset pairs, such as ETH/USD and BTC/USD, and these feeds can now be used in many DeFi apps.
Given that developers will no longer have to build similar services and will be able to use these feeds instead, they can save both time and money and “can focus solely on their core business logic and bringing next-generation applications,” as Solana stated.
Regarding the benefits of this collaboration, founder and CEO of Solana Labs, Anatoly Yakovenko, said:
Chainlink’s price feeds are first available on Solana Devnet, with the mainnet integration to be rolled out before the end of this year.
