The Coachella music festival confirmed it is entering the world of NFTs with Coachella Collectibles. This represents a collection of NFTs that can be redeemed for physical items and “passes for life” to the festival which takes place every year in California.
This is a part of the festival collaborating with FTX.US. Three pieces out of the ten collectibles will be available starting February 4th. They will offer their owners “tickets for life” and access to virtual experiences that will be a part of future editions.
These NFTs will also have benefits for this year’s edition, like front-row access, luxury camping accommodation for life, and dinner with a celebrity chef from the Rose Garden site.
The festival will also see the release of a “Sights and Sounds” collection which will include 10,000 less-exclusive NFTs. They will all cost $60 and come with 10 different variants of photos and sound passages.
Some of the money from the sales will go towards charity organizations.
Coachella is following in the steps of Lollapalooza which released an NFT collection in 2021 that displayed tour posters used between 1991 – 1993.
