Patrick Yoon, the former country manager at Visa Korea and Mongolia, has been named the general manager for South Korea by Crypto.com.
The CEO of the company, Kris Marszalek, declared that thanks to the experience that Yoon has in South Korea, the crypto exchange would be able to reach “new heights.”
Yoon stayed with Visa for three years and worked with regulatory bodies and financial institutions. Before that, he worked at Standard Chartered Bank in South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UK.
Crypto.com offers several services, like trading, lending, and payment services. Furthermore, the company also gives a Visa card to users who choose to stake the CRO token for over 180 days.
The exchange has grown fivefold since a year ago, registering 10 million users as of now.
In March, it was revealed that spending on the Crypto.com Visa card increased by 55% in 2020.
