Dash Releases Retail-Focused DashDirect App in Order to Increase Adoption

Blockchain-based payments network Dash has released a noncustodial and user-controlled retail app in order to increase adoption of the cryptocurrency by merchants.

The app is called DashDirect, and it lets users pay for everyday purchases at national chain retailers using their holdings of DASH.

DashDirect users can receive discounts of up to 12% when shopping. Among the companies that are part of the collaboration, we can name American Eagle, Chipotle, Best Buy, Subway, Home Depot, GameStop, CVS, Chili’s, AutoZone, Ulta, and DoorDash.

Marshall Greenwald, the CEO of CrayPay and founder of DashDirect, declared: “DashDirect is an instant-savings retail app that allows the cryptocurrency DASH to be spent at more than 155,000 stores and 125 websites within the United States.”

This decision has actually put Dash ahead of Bitcoin in regards to adoption as a payments network. Bitcoin is accepted at 22,883 venues around the world.
