Ether grew yesterday to a new record ATH, passing the $2,700 mark, following a powerful rally that lasted for three days.
Ether, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain, and the second-biggest cryptocurrency in general, grew to a new high of $2,718 at around 1:00 coordinated universal time. Currently, Ether is changing hands at $2,640, which is still up 5.6% in the previous 24 hours.
This new personal best followed three consecutive days of gains that totaled 19%. Ether has already tripled its value this year as a result of a growing interest in NFTs and blockchain applications, such as DeFi. Still, Bitcoin grew by 89% in 2021.
“Ether has picked up its head, and looks poised for a few more days of outperformance,” declared Katie Stockton, a technical analyst for the consulting firm Fairlead Strategies.
