Ethereum’s Price Falls as the Crypto Market Crashes

You’ve probably noticed by now that your crypto portfolio is down by 20% since yesterday.

After Ethereum reached a new high of $1,432, it fell to $1,050 – $1,100, which is a price drop of 20% in just one day.

Of course, it is not just ETH that took a blow. All of the other important cryptocurrencies have taken a dive as well: Bitcoin (-16%), Polkadot (-14%), XRP (-16%), Cardano (-22%), Litecoin (-15%), Bitcoin Cash (-19%), Chainlink (-18%), and Binance Coin (-11%). The only one that was spared was Tether.

As a result of this fall, the total crypto market cap has fallen to $852 billion after, previously this month, it had passed $1 trillion.

In the market cap, when compared to the other cryptos and stocks, ETH fell to number 87 from the 72nd position. Bitcoin also left the top 10, and it’s currently at number 12.

Nevertheless, even with today’s price correction, ETH still values more than it ever has during any point in 2020. The cryptocurrency ended the previous year at the value of $735.
