Coinbase has hired Christian Sabella, a former deputy director of the US SEC, to be in charge of the legal work on capital markets. Sabella left the US SEC on June 2nd and is now the senior director and associate general counsel of Coinbase’s capital markets division.
The exchange is currently in the middle of a recruiting drive, adding to its team people from some of the most important companies in the world, such as Goldman Sachs.
The announcement was made yesterday by the chief legal officer of Coinbase, Paul Grewal.
Sabella had worked for the SEC for more than a decade.
