Ricardo Salinas Pliego, the third richest person in Mexico, has advised his Twitter followers to invest in Bitcoin and stay away from fiat currencies.
The advice came from a video he posted on December 24th:
“Stay away from fiat money. The dollar, the euro, the yen, the peso — all are the same story. It’s fake money [made] of paper lies, and the central banks are producing more money than ever. Invest in Bitcoin.”
Just a week prior, Salinas also confirmed on Twitter that retailer Grupo Elektra, a company that belongs to his conglomerate, Grupo Salinas, will accept Bitcoin as payment. This summer he also stated that he supports the use of Bitcoin and wanted to make his bank, Banco Azteca, the first one in the country to accept BTC. Salinas has been preaching about Bitcoin since 2013.
Salinas also told his followers in the video to let go of jealousy and to believe in themselves especially when they are working towards freedom and innovation.
