NASCAR driver Landon Cassill has confirmed that he accepted to receive his salary in crypto. Cassill just began a 19-race sponsorship deal with Voyager Digital and will be sponsored with Litecoin and VGX, the native token of Voyager Digital. A part of the sponsorship is to be paid in Bitcoin.
The CEO of Voyager, Steve Ehrlich, declared: “Through innovation, Voyager continues to demonstrate crypto’s multiple use cases, from being a valuable and efficient form of payment to an investment asset class fuelling a new technology revolution.”
Cassill has commented that he used crypto in the past, and he is receptive to the idea of being paid this way:
“Crypto is changing the game for so many people and is the reason I’ve accepted this sponsorship 100% in cryptocurrencies and will be representing Voyager this season. There are a handful of pilots who like crypto, but I am probably one of the ones who has been around long enough and I am quite comfortable with how it works.”
