OnlyFans revealed that it donated 500 ETH ($1.3 million) to UkraineDAO, a DAO that raises funds to help Ukrainian defense against the Russian invasion.
The company declared that it donated more than $5 million to several humanitarian efforts that are aiding Ukraine and a further $1 million will be donated by March 15th.
The CEO of OnlyFans, Ami Gan, stated:
“These tragic events have had a terrible impact on individuals including members of our creator community. Given our strong personal ties to Ukraine, we wanted to support in a way which felt true to who we are at OnlyFans and which focused on getting aid and support to the Ukrainian people.”
The government of Ukraine has, so far, received more than $50 million in crypto.
Pussy Riot and Trippy Labs were the founders of the DAO. The largest single donation took place on March 2nd when $6.5 million were crowdfunded from an NFT sale.
