Paraguay Wants to Legislate Bitcoin Next Month

A Deputy of the Nation and Member of Congress in Paraguay, Carlitos Antonio Rejala Helman, wants to present a Bitcoin bill in July.

He made the announcement on Twitter where he declared: “This is Paraguay! July we legislate!”

He had previously suggested that a new Bitcoin legislation could be in order this summer as he was talking about creating a project with Bitcoin and PayPal.

Other details aren’t known at the moment, but we can assume that El Salvador‘s decision of making Bitcoin legal tender has had an influence over this.

In similar news, one of the largest entertainment companies in the country, Grupo Cinco, has revealed that it will begin accepting crypto payments starting with July. The cryptocurrencies accepted are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Shiba Token, and Chiliz.

Rejala Helman has acknowledged the plans of the group to accept crypto and declared that the youth of Paraguay represents the “main ally,” adding that “a whole new mindset shift is approaching” and that “the lead that Paraguay can make is unprecedented.”
