Russia may not be the most crypto-friendly country in the world, but the famous Hermitage (state-backed) museum is enjoying the best that the industry has to offer.
Hermitage raised hundreds of thousands of dollars with NFTs. The museum just finished its first auction on the NFT platform by Binance where it sold five tokenized collectibles that depict paintings by the likes of Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, or Leonardo da Vinci.
The auction resulted in a profit of over $444,000 worth of BUSD. “The Madonna and Child” raised the most with 150,500 BUSD.
The proceeds from the NFT auction will go to the museum.
