Signal, the private messaging app, is now accepting crypto donations!
According to a blog post published recently, Signal Technology Foundation can now receive crypto donations via The Giving Block.
The non-profit organization that created the popular messaging app was established in 2018 by Moxie Marlinspike and Brian Acton, and it runs solely on donations.
The Giving Block integration will permit Signal to accept several cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ether.
Two months ago, Signal staff members made the news after they had expressed their concerns over crypto payments being a part of the platform.
MobileCoin, a crypto project that is advised by Marlinspike, went live in December 2020 and has recently raised a Series A funding round.
