Soccer Legends Ronaldinho and Beckham Continue to Explore Crypto

By creating digital tokens and NFTs, Ronaldinho and Beckham hope to build a stronger bond with their supporters.

Ronaldinho, a legendary Brazilian soccer star, has teamed up with the decentralized exchange P00LS to produce his own currency, RON.

David Beckham also connected with the cryptocurrency world by filing various trademark applications related to the Metaverse and NFTs.

Ronaldinho de Assis Moreira (known as Ronaldinho) – one of the greatest soccer players of all time – stated that the major purpose of his token will be to improve communication between himself and his innumerable supporters. “More than just fans, they are my community,” he stated emphatically.

The RON token, in particular, will allow holders to enter Ronaldinho’s realm. They’ll be allowed to go to events, trade NFTs, and make exclusive content.

Hugo Renaudin, the Founder and CEO of P00LS, claims that his company provides empowerment to creators and communities “with a new model for ownership and value.”

He further stated:

“As one of the world’s most beloved and recognized sports stars, the launch of Ronaldinho’s token marks a massive step for his community, for P00LS, and for the creator economy at large. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome him to the platform and to the P00LS community.”

The RON token is an ERC-20 token that will be released on April 28. Before the official launch, fans of Ronaldinho will have the opportunity to earn the asset for free on the P00LS launchpad. They might win more tokens for free by accurately answering questions about the soccer player’s profession and personal life.

This isn’t Ronaldinho’s first foray into the world of digital assets. The 2005 Ballon d’Or winner partnered with Graph Blockchain earlier this year to host events and NFT experiences for his followers. In addition, he was appointed as a global ambassador for the blockchain technology.

David Beckham is another recent soccer player who has jumped on the bandwagon. Mike Kondoudis, an American lawyer, disclosed that the British had filed three trademark applications in the Metaverse for NFTs, virtual clothes, and entertainment events.

Beckham was named the global brand ambassador for the cryptocurrency company DigitalBits over a month ago. The athlete had this to say about the collaboration:

“I am always keen to find new ways to connect with my fans across the world. The moment I spoke with AI and the DigitalBits team, I knew that this was a major opportunity to create new experiences for my fans online. I have always taken pride in working with the best teams and I am so excited to work on my NFT collections and more innovations in the future.”
