The Oldest Wine Shop in America Is Now Accepting Bitcoin

Acker, a wine shop established in America in 1820, has decided to accept BTC payments for wine auctions and retail. The company is the largest rare and fine wine auction house. It holds online auctions weekly for those interested in collecting rare and luxury wines.

The shop will accept several cryptocurrencies at retail and auction, such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Dogecoin. It has also decided to accept some stablecoins, like Gemini Dollar, PAX, and BUSD.

It has been revealed that BitPay will be in charge of processing the crypto payments, as it will receive them and convert them into fiat money for the company.

John Kapon, chairman of Acker, described crypto as “no longer a passing fad” and declared that “as one of the oldest licensed businesses in America, Acker is proud to accept this novel form of payment as we continue to evolve in our third century as a company.” He also revealed that, in the near future, the company could take further steps towards the digital space.
