The Weeknd Joins Tom Brady’s NFT Platform Autograph

NFT platform Autograph, which was co-founded by NFL quarterback Tom Brady, is expanding into music as The Weeknd joins in the fun!

NFT autographs based on The Weeknd aren’t exactly confirmed for now, but Tom Brady has his own NFTs on the platform and The Weeknd released his own NFT collectibles back in April which generated over $2 million in sales.

Sam Bankman-Fried, meanwhile, has joined the board.

The Weeknd revealed:

“As an artist, I am always compelled to push the boundaries of how to deliver art within the culture and have been intrigued with NFTs for some years. I was eager to join [Autograph] in launching a new vertical in the music space that explores what the metaverse could be.”

So far, several big names have released NFTs on the Autograph platform, such as Naomi Osaka, Tiger Woods, and Simone Biles.

The prices for Autograph NFTs vary with the cheapest one starting at $12 and going to hundreds of dollars for versions that also include the digital signature of the athlete. The collectibles are minted on Polygon and sold via DraftKings Marketplace.
