A Twitter user, Lauren Walker, claimed she “stole” NFTs by saving them into her computer. The tweet was minted, and it is now worth $5,000.
Walker made a joke in which she claims to have a collection of NFTs worth over $8 trillion by right-clicking on the images and saving them on her drive.
Two crypto users have taken screenshots of the tweet, minted them, and then listed them on the OpenSea marketplace. One of them is now worth $5,100. The other has yet to receive any bids for now.
One Twitter user, Travellintoddy, said:
“I get so pumped by these types of reactions. It shows that the NFT community is so early. It’s like piling on social media in 2003 because why wouldn’t you just go see your friends rather than online.”
Sergey Pshenichkin also commented:
“This is basically the same as making a joke that you stole the Mona Lisa by taking a photograph of it.”
