Uniswap Makes It Easier to Send Tokens to Ukraine, Polkadot Founder Donates $5.7 Million in $DOT

Uniswap has created a special interface that lets users swap ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain easily in order to make donations to the government of Ukraine in just one transaction.

The government of Ukraine confirmed in February that it is now accepting crypto donations to fight the Russian invasion with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT being the first ones to be accepted.

The new interface of Uniswap makes the donation process even simpler and without adding extra transaction fees.

In total, Ukraine has received over $30 million in crypto, so far, including $10 million from Binance “to help the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.”

Gavid Wood, the founder of Polkadot, pledged to donate $5 if Ukraine accepted DOT as well. Not long after, the official Twitter account of Ukraine published a DOT address, and a donation of 298,367 DOT worth more than $5.7 million was recorded from Wood.

The Polkadot community has also started to donate with more than $210,000 being sent to the country.
