Analysts are anticipating that a second futures-based Bitcoin ETF will be live by the end of this week after ProShares’ Bitcoin Strategy ETF goes live today.
Eric Balchunas anticipates that Valkyrie’s Bitcoin futures-based ETS is “likely” to be released in the coming days following its certificate for listing on the Nasdaq exchange a week ago.
If this prediction comes out to be true, it would be only the second Bitcoin ETF released in the US.
James Seyffart initially guessed that the Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF would go live on the same day as the one from ProShares.
It was also noted that Valkyrie updated its ticker in its application from BTFD to BTF.
Both Seyffart and Balchunas commented that the approval of a spot BTC-backed ETF is not likely to take place anytime soon.
