VIP Tickets Sold as NFTs at Miami Art Festival

The SCOPE Art Show in Miami is collaborating with YellowHeart, a blockchain-based live event ticketing platform, in order to sell VIP tickets as NFTs.

The founder of SCOPE, Alexis Hubshman, declared: “This unique set of minted tickets will feature exclusive editioned artwork by emerging and celebrated artists.” It further claims that the art fair is the first one of its kind to sell tickets in NFT form.

YellowHeart was built on Polygon and it represents a change to the method tickets are sold by creating a more transparent ticket sale experience – not only for buyers but also for sellers.

The CEO of YellowHeart, Josh Katz, declared: “Right now we’re dealing with a centralized, manipulated marketplace. This puts it into the open crypto and NFT marketplaces.”

Tickets can be bought using crypto but also traditional methods, such as credit cards. Still, Kats assumes that the buying is “mostly in crypto.” They became available for sale on September 9th and they include various artists, such as Relm, Swoon, and Saype.
