Visa Wants to Bring Crypto Services to Traditional Banks in Brazil

Visa has confirmed that it wants to integrate crypto solutions into traditional banking platforms, which means investments in crypto and ETFs within banking platforms would be possible with no middleman.

The vice president of new business in Brazil for Visa, Eduardo Abreu, confirmed that the company wants to create APIs that would unite traditional banks with crypto products.

Visa also confirmed that it is collaborating with multiple national companies in order to issue crypto cards, such as Alterbank, Zro Bank, and Rippio.

Furthermore, it was confirmed that Visa is also working on a B2B oriented blockchain that will permit payment settlements among companies using smart contracts. Abreu revealed that the system is already in the testing phases with some clients.

On top of that, Visa plans to test direct bitcoin payments in the country. This would permit bitcoin to be transferred to other accounts directly, unlike the current version of most crypto cards, where an intermediary is needed to exchange bitcoin for fiat money.
