Bitcoin Hits $60K for the First Time Since April Following Reports of Likely ETF Approval

Bitcoin has briefly gone over the $60,000 level today for the first time since April as a result of reports indicating that a Bitcoin futures ETF may start trading in the US next week.

The price of Bitcoin has been on a rise since October began. Before the new rise, the price stayed around the $42,000 level between September 20th until the beginning of this month. The $60,000 mark was first reached on the Bitstamp exchange shortly after 5 AM (UTC).

The King of Crypto is currently only 7% from reaching its ATH of $64,804 that it reached in April.

According to Bloomberg, anonymous sources confirmed that the US SEC is very likely to finally approve a series of Bitcoin futures ETFs for trading as soon as next week.

As a result of these rumors, the price of Bitcoin grew by about $7,000 during the previous week or by 13%.
