Crypto.com stated that it began a multi-year collaboration with basketball icon LeBron James and the LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF), his charitable organization with a focus on “educational empowerment.”
LeBron himself declared that blockchain is transforming society:
“Blockchain technology is revolutionizing our economy, sports and entertainment, the art world, and how we engage with one another. I want to ensure that communities like the one I come from are not left behind. Crypto.com and I are aligned on the need to educate and support my community with the information and tools they need for inclusion. I’m looking forward to working with them to bring these opportunities to my community.”
Crypto.com has made the news headlines recently for renaming the Los Angeles Lakers’ Staples Center to Crypto.com Arena and for working with Matt Damon.
Other crypto exchanges are also going viral, such as FTX buying the naming rights to the Miami Heat’s arena in Florida and working with Tom Brady. Meanwhile, Grayscale Investments is working with the New York Giants on similar deals.
Crypto.com declared it wants to highlight the benefits of crypto in which things are “fair and equitable and the potential rewards of the technology are owned by builders, creators and users alike.”
