Uniswap V3 Released on Four Ethereum Testnets

The big rollout of Uniswap V3 is coming, so the leading decentralized protocol has released its third iteration to all four Ethereum testnets available. These testnests are Ropsten, Gorli, Kovan, and Rinkeby.

The testnet addresses were posted on Github. The exchange has also reminded users that these addresses are not in the final form and an update will follow after the team makes final changes to the periphery repository.

The expected release date for Uniswap V3 is May 5th. Before the upgrade, a bug bounty program was released on March 23rd, which gives rewards of up to $500,000 for any reports of high severity bugs in the V3 contracts.

The new upgrade has Uniswap trying to introduce capital efficiency via concentrated liquidity and multiple fee tiers. There are also plans to upgrade the automated market maker bounding curves.

Despite the high transaction costs that the Ethereum network is currently experiencing, Uniswap is actually doing very well. At press time, the average cost for a token swap on Uniswap is $67.86. The exchange has also passed a weekly trading volume of $10 million for the very first time.
