WallStreetBets (WSB), known as the Reddit forum that played the largest part in boosting the GameStop stocks, has now decided to allow discussions about cryptocurrencies.
This decision comes as a surprise for some, as, for the longest time, moderators felt that crypto-talk would overpower the main goal of WSB, which is to talk publicly traded stocks.
“I don’t see the point in delaying the inevitable anymore as crypto is here to stay,” revealed one of the moderators, known as bawse1. “After much deliberation, we’ve decided to allow for discussion about only BTC, ETH, and DOGE only [sic].”
Conversations will be limited to just one thread so “as to not burden everyone with crypto spam.”
The announcement came the same day that the line between crypto markets and stocks blurred even more by the fact that Coinbase went public on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
