BankProv, previously known as Provident Bank, is known for being crypto-friendly. Now it has begun a payments network meant to offer clients real-time payments that are available on nights and weekends. Silvergate and Signature are other banks that already do this.
The bank confirmed yesterday that it was releasing the ProvXchange, a 24/7 payments platform that lets two customers on the platform make payments to each other immediately.
In June, the bank released an Ethereum-backed lending product.
Dave Mansfield, the CEO of BankProv, declared:
“We are continuing to listen to the needs of our community, particularly in the cryptocurrency space, to hear how their businesses can be made more productive using better banking technology. The buildout of the ProvXchange network truly answers the needs of this community that has been asking for more solutions to meet their unique needs.”
