A collection of 101 NFTs from the Bored Ape Yacht Club has gone over Sotheby’s estimations which expected between $12 – $18 million. Now the highest bid stands at $19 million.
Not only has the bid gone over the expectations of Sotheby’s, but it is expected that the collection of dour-faced apes (with laser eyes, of course) will fetch even more as there are still three more days until the auction is closed. The last day of the auction will be September 9th (until 2:01 PM UTC).
For now, the floor price of a bored ape on the open market is worth 40 ETH ($160,000), which means that the total collection of 101 apes would be worth at least $16.16 million. Then again, the collection does come with several rare apes, which may make it more valuable.
