Crypto.com Airdrops Lebron James NFT Collection to Super Bowl Ad Viewers

Crypto.com confirmed it is airdropping the NFT collection “The Moment of Truth” which features LeBron James to 5,500 viewers of its Super Bowl commercial. The winners will be chosen randomly.

Those who scanned the hidden QR code that appeared 10 seconds into the talk present-day James had with his younger self will be able to take part in the draw. The collection includes behind-the-scenes moments from the creation of the Big Game commercial.

Those who scanned the QR code were redirected to a secret webpage where they could sign up for the Crypto.com NFT platform until the Friday following the game.

The lucky ones will receive one of the 5,500 NFTs for free. The drop includes 15 NFTs created in three tiers with different editions.

Crypto.com is working with LeBron James and the LeBron James Family Foundation on creating educational and vocational opportunities directed towards Web3. This collaboration will offer those from the hometown of LeBron, Akron, Ohio, the tools and resources needed to learn about blockchain technology and even develop a career in crypto.

James declared:

“I want to ensure that communities like the one I come from are not left behind.” He further added that he and Crypto.com are “aligned on the need to educate and support my community with the information and tools they need for inclusion.”

The NFTs that are airdropped aren’t available for sale on Crypto.com.

5% of any NFT re-sales will be donated as royalties to the LeBron James Family Foundation.
