Eminem has revealed he began a partnership with Nifty Gateway for his first NFT at Shady Con; he is the most recent name in the long list of celebrities that have jumped on the NFT craze, which includes Grimes, A$AP Rocky, Snoop Dogg, Boy George, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, etc.
Some say that a recent Saturday Night Live skit about NFTs, which was done to the tune of Eminem’s own “Without Me”, may have drawn the attention of the rapper.
Three types of NFTs are up for sale, each of them being high-quality animations with an original beat that was produced by Eminem. 50 editions of each of the first two NFTs are available. They bare the names “TOOLS OF THE TRADE” and “STILL D.G.A.F.” The cost of them is evaluated at $5,000. If you are fast enough, you may also get a physical print, numbered by hand and autographed by the rapper.
The third NFT, “STAN’S REVENGE”, is unique, as only one was created, and it will be sold to the highest bidder.
It was not reported who is the animator behind the NFTs.
“I wanted to give this drop the same vibe of, ‘Oh, man I gotta get just that one or maybe even the whole set!’ It’s been a lot of fun coming up with ideas from my own collecting passion,” reads Eminem’s statement on his official website.
