Fatman Charges Journalist of Still Shilling Terra And Do Kwon Speaks Out

Do Kwon has given an unnamed journalist an interview, and Twitter user Fatman accuses both of continuing the shilling.

After the Terra Luna disaster, Do Kwon was interviewed by Coinage Media. Terra was intended to be a stablecoin, but it failed to stay stable, Kwon says in the teaser:

“Terra was supposed to be a stablecoin, and it didn’t remain stable. Therefore, it must be a fraud, and must be a scam. Crypto is still sort of like the wild wild west. I think I developed like sort of, an alter ego.”

When asked by Zack Guzman, the co-founder of Coinage Media, if Known cringes at comments he made in the past, he replied: “Yes, but the algorithmic stablecoin was starting to become industry standard. I bet big and I think I lost.”

In the interview, Kwon was asked to refute the allegations of fraud against him. It’s not as simple as you may have expected to view the piece, though. To access the whole interview, one must first download a free NFT (forget about the gas costs for the moment).

I attempted to link my wallet in order to receive the “free NFT,” but it was unsuccessful.

The CEO of Theranos, Elizabeth Holmes, is alleged by Coinage Media to have sold her defective technology while knowing it. Theranos rose to fame by hawking a device that it claimed could diagnose a number of diseases from a drop of blood. The technology was obviously just wishful thinking. According to the interview’s preview, Kwon will tackle rumors that he is simply Holmes with shorter hair and no skirt.

It Ain’t Over ‘Til the FatMan Sings

The burgeoning Twitter user @FatManTerra claims to have firsthand knowledge of the Terra project. Many internal documents were leaked by him both before and after the Terra ecosystem collapsed. On the interview with Kwon, he remarked:

“Do, why not have an interview with someone more neutral and respectable like Bloomberg or Fortune instead of someone who has been consistently shilling you for *years*, almost as if he’s paid? And will you address the billions you cashed out of the system?”

Guzman took offense and replied:

“@FatManTerra more respectable? I was a user of Terra just like you were. Also kinda shady that you are acting like I didn’t try to reach out to you for this. Of course I covered Terra. It was either always going to be either crypto’s biggest success or its biggest failure.”

But FatMan has another version of events: “You didn’t reach out to me about a documentary or interview of any sort. You asked me if I was in Singapore and asked to meet up. I said no because I live in the UK. That was all. I think it’s ‘kinda of shady’ that you would lie about that…”

He continued by adding: “I wouldn’t quite say you ‘covered Terra.’ I would say you shilled Terra and Do Kwon for a very long time, turning a blind eye to their weak points and acting like a sycophant when convenient. With respect, I think any journalist will agree that you are not the most neutral here.”
