Terra and Crypto.com Score Important Partnerships

The Washington Nationals baseball team has signed a “groundbreaking” five-year collaboration with Terra, the public blockchain protocol.

Just a couple of days ago, Do Kwon, the founder of Terraform Labs, has confirmed the introduction of a funding proposal in order to deal with “a household name” belonging to one of the biggest sports leagues in the US.

The sponsorship is worth $40 million and it was founded by the Terra community treasury which is in charge of about $2.7 billion in the form of a DAO. The community vote was, naturally, in favor of this. This represents the first deal between a sports franchise and a DAO.

The managing principal owner of the Washington Nationals, Mark D. Lerner, declared:

“We are excited to partner with Terra to name our most exclusive club and explore bringing powerful new fan experiences to Nationals Park, including the use of UST cryptocurrency to make purchases.”

Beginning with the next season, National Parks will accept Terra (UST).

In similar news, the new official title partner of the new Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix is, of course, Crypto.com. The name change comes as a result of this collaboration. This represents yet another partnership between Crypto.com and Formula 1.

As a result, Crypto.com now has the right to incorporate its logo into the Miami International Autodrome facility and into the event logo itself. On top of that, the logo will be seen on the podium and the winner’s trophies.

Furthermore, a special Crypto.com Fan Zona has also been confirmed which seems to be a special place in the center of the Hard Rock Stadium where several activities will take place that are outside of the Grand Prix itself.

The collaboration will last nine years beginning with this season.
