Together, Tony Hawk and the Sandbox Will Build the Largest Skatepark in the Metaverse

A comprehensive Web3 experience is being developed by Tony Hawk, The Sandbox, and Autograph for skaters, crypto fans, and gamers worldwide.

The games based on the metaverse continue to attract interest from people who dream of finding a virtual place where everyone can enjoy a distinctive and enjoyable experience outside of the constraints of the actual world, despite the sharp decrease in the bitcoin market.

One of the most well-known and recognizable skateboarders in the world, Tony Hawk, said on July 13 that he would be collaborating with the blockchain-based virtual environment The Sandbox to create the “biggest virtual skatepark ever constructed.” The Sandbox has a long list of Top-tier agreements, and this one would be the most recent.

A video made by The Sandbox and reposted by Hawk claims that in addition to a market where skateboards and related gear can be purchased, Hawk’s metaverse will also provide users with access to editing tools so they may design the skatepark of their dreams.

According to The Sandbox, the “Tony Hawk LAND” will include 36 plots of land, which is enough to make it the largest skatepark ever built in the metaverse.

The skatepark, according to Tony Hawk, “will be something never seen before,” he claimed during a presentation. These are significant remarks given that his “Tony Hawk Pro Skater” video game franchise has earned over $1.4 billion and includes numerous skateparks and routes.

“I have been a fan of new technology all of my life – from the first videogames and home computers with CGI capabilities – so I am fascinated by the metaverse, and excited to bring our culture into the virtual landscape of The Sandbox.”

Using Tony Hawk’s most recognizable skateboards, apparel, and accessories—including the one he wore at the 1999 X Games when he executed his fabled 900 (2.5-lap) turn, which is regarded as an “immortal” accomplishment in the skating community—Autograph will generate NFTs and avatars.
