XRP Is Delisted by Yet Another Crypto Exchange

Another crypto exchange has decided to delist XRP as a result of the legal and regulatory issues it faces, Canadian platform Newton.

Newton confirmed it is delisting two tokens, XRP and USDT, a process that is scheduled to take place in phases.

The first part is suspending the transfers of XRP and USDT which will end on December 20th at 11:59 pm ET, which means after this date, users won’t be allowed to send XRP or USDT to this exchange.

The second part refers to shelving the trading of the two tokens and it is supposed to come into effect by December 31st. The third part will finish on January 15th and it refers to traders not being able to withdraw their XRP or USDT funds anymore, thus finishing the delisting process.

“You must ensure that all remaining XRP and USDT has been moved out of your Newton account by the January 15th deadline. Any remaining XRP and USDT after this deadline and any subsequent reminders will be liquidated by Newton on your behalf, and the cash (CAD) proceeds will be delivered to your Newton account.”

The worldwide XRP community isn’t exactly calm at the moment as the lawsuit against Ripple now seems to favor an SEC-influenced result.
