Malaysian Artists Can Optimize Their Innovations Using NFTs

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, several artists in Malaysia have turned to the digital space, embracing crypto and NFTs.

The idea of NFTs in Malaysia began as a sort of fun activity for graduates of multimedia, engineering, or design, but it shot to mainstream following the release of the Seni Crypto – ‘Cryptoart‘ – exhibition at the University of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

After this, the Malaysian art realm realized it could take advantage of this new invention. As a result, the first crypto art week took place in July where the first local NFT marketplace, known as Pentas.io, was created, and local artists managed to record pretty nice gains via this industry.

The NFT industry in Malaysia has grown continuously this year, which has helped artists find work and gain revenue, while, at the same time, increasing the presence of Malaysian art worldwide.
