Reddit has announced it is hiring people with the goal of designing, creating, and maintaining an NFT platform that the company plans to release. The job posting was made on Greenhouse.
The company is looking for a senior backend engineer that will have the task of designing a platform for millions of users. Those who apply need to have experience of at least five years in backend development.
Reddit also mentioned: “If there is one thing we’ve noticed with NFTs, they too have an incredible power to create a sense of participation and belonging.”
The social media app has a very large crypto trading community and was even used for pumping the prices of some cryptos, like Dogecoin.
“With every new NFT project, a vibrant community of owners pops up. Fans of today’s famous creators and brands are now looking to buy digital goods directly from them. This is because of their support and urges for exclusive access and a greater sense of connection with them. Over time, we believe this is only going to grow, and NFTs will be a central element in how fans support their favorite creators and communities. The NFT movement has just begun.”
